We’re incredibly grateful for everyone’s continuous support and enthusiasm for our event. We understand that current circumstances might affect your decision making, and we want to assure you that your well-being and peace of mind come first.
Our Vision and Mission Statement are our guiding lights. As a board, we turned off the news to focused on these guiding principles that we created for ourselves and decided that “THE PEOPLE” will decide if our event will proceed. We are not taking a political stand.
We start planning our event in November of the previous year. We must open registration in March so we have time to organize the rest of the event (checkpoint groups, shirt orders, bib orders, cash flow, etc etc).
We are confident that the 2025 relay will be a success. But the situation is very fluid, and could change at any time. For those who have entered, KCIBR will allow full refunds of entry fees for all entrants until June 1, 2025. No refunds will be allowed for shirt purchases.
We understand the difficult decisions people have to make as our board has had to make them too. Keep your fingers crossed that everything goes back to normal, keep hoping for a sunny day with a tail wind, train like normal and gain health, anticipate riding with your friends and community, on the most beautiful road and scenery in the world, that connects to wonderful places with wonderful people.
We have no control over the border or influence on the decisions made. Plan your travel however you feel comfortable.
We respect each participant’s individual choice on how they’d like to take part. If crossing the border isn’t an option, you’re welcome to complete the Canadian sections of the relay instead by following the standard registration and event rules. Please obey the rules of the road, be mindful of other riders, and stay safe out there. There is no price change for creative registration tactics.
No matter how you choose to participate, we hope you’ll feel connected to the spirit of the event and the collective energy of everyone riding alongside you — whether that’s across the border or closer to home.
Thank you for being part of this incredible community!
